Children’s First Dental Visit

We like parents to bring their two year old children with them to visit our office during one of their checkup appointments.
All conversations and actions with children should reflect a positive and fun experience at the dentist. When kids are
three years old or if you notice some problems, a morning appointment should be scheduled. We will do a complete examination,
take any necessary x-rays, clean their teeth, and give them a topical fluoride treatment.

Avoid expressions like "it will only be a short time", "be brave", "you can have a reward if you are good", etc. Do not
make promises of what will happen except they should have fun. Most children do better when the parents wait in the waiting
room during the appointment.
